Billionaire Steve Wynn Bets On Change In US Online Gambling Regulation.
Steve Wynn, chief executive of Las Vegas casino company Wynn Resorts has announced he is joining up with PokerStars, the world’s biggest online gaming company to establish a strategic relationship that aims to regulate online poker in the U.S.
PokerStars have been dominating online gambling in the USA, albeit in the shadow of the law.
Wynn plans to set up a new venture, PokerStarsWynn.com, which will offer for money poker play in the USA.
The U.S is currently watching from the sidelines how off shore online poker sites generate 100′s of millions of dollars in revenue with U.S players.
Although off shore companies allowing U.S players have not been confronted in court by the U.S Justice department, their payment processors have been under constant threat. But no matter what, this has not stopped the huge appetite for online poker games in the U.S. and seemingly state by state are starting to show an interest in a change of law.
