The Future Of Online Poker In America
There is a fascinating article in the LA Times. It appeared on April 29 and sums up the online poker fiasco from Black Friday. The writer made some very good points and at the core is that online poker is not going away. Not now, not ever. 10 million+ american players will eventually play again. That we all know.
He points out that gambling is only illegal in 2 states in America, that is Hawaii and Utah. If you have been following this blog, you know that several States, including Hawaii (read our story here), are acually pushing for legislation to have online poker legalized. It is estimated that 15% of all current online poker from the three sites seized on black friday, players are based in California which could generate a tax of $100 million for the state coffers. Hence there is much activity in California to push for legalization.
I heartly recommend you to read the article right here
