WSOP 2011 Is Approaching. Time To Get Excited!

This year brings us the 42nd annual World Series of Poker – one of the most hotly anticipated events on the gaming calendar. The WSOP takes place in Las Vegas Nevada in the summer. When it firs came about, almost  40 years ago, only 6 players participated in the tournament, whilst today it has become a display of world class poker play. This year will see an estimated 70,000 entrants from more than 100 countries battle it out for prize funds worth millions of dollars as well as the coveted ‘World Series of Poker’ gold bracelet.

The tournament is scheduled to kick off on May 31st and will be running right the way through to July where it will culminate in the $10,000 NL Hold’em Main Event.  In recent years some champions would finish the event with earnings of up to $12,000,000 making this one gaming opportunity that’s simply not to be missed.
